As in the previous year, we have been invited by Gerardo Núñez and Carmen Cortés to present some of our newest guitars to their students from all over the world.
This week, from the 17th, Gerardo Núñez and Carmen Cortés during their XXIV “Curso Flamenco” that takes place every year at Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Cádiz).
As in the previous year, this year as well we will be presenting several guitar models fresh out of our workshop here in Madrid. Here are a few highlights on three guitars that we will be bringing to Sanlúcar:
The re-edition “Domingo Esteso” model based on a 1920 flamenco cypress guitar built by my great uncle is a superior guitar built with only the best and especially selected materials such as Germans spruce for the top and Spanish cypress for the back and sides. The method of construction is entirely identical to the one used by the great maestro. It is a lightweight guitar (it weighs just a touch over 1kg), it’s incredibly comfortable and has a very potent flamenco sound so characteristic for this house.
We will also be bringing the third guitar built by my son Felipe Conde Jr. It is a flamenco concert guitar with a red Canadian cedar top and Indian rosewood back and sides. This shellac finished guitar is of superb workmanship and has a great sound and proper personality.
The studio flamenco model FP16 has a German spruce top and Spanish cypress back and sides, it has been crafted with superior materials and it sports a brilliant flamenco sound, it is a very comfortable guitar and I would point out that it is a very good value for its price.
We hope to see some of you in Sanlúcar this week, if you have any questions or need anything at all please don’t hesitate to let us know via telephone or e-mail.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Gerardo and Carmen for their repeated hospitality.
See you at Sanlúcar!
